Autumn Ojizosan with Mount Fuji

Jizo is a compassionate guardian in Japanese Buddhist tradition. I give my Ojizosan a joyful smile, with an autumn landscape and Mount Fuji on the robe. For me, Fuji represents happiness; the carved character for happiness and hands joined in prayer carry my wish for a peaceful world.

One-of-a-kind wheel-thrown sculpture in tan stoneware with brown specks, decorated with underglaze and carving.
