Shino Lotus and Fish Bowl

Lotus flowers and fish share the surface of this small Shino bowl. For me, the lotus recalls the connection between cause and effect: what we nurture today shapes what follows. The carved design brings that reflection into an object for everyday use.

One-of-a-kind wheel-thrown stoneware bowl with carving and a Shino glaze.
